1978 Pontiac Trans Am Rental Added in Florida

Rent Vintage Car has added a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am to its Florida picture car rental offerings through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle is located in Satellite Beach, Florida, giving productions working in the state access to a period-correct coupe that fits scenes set in the late 1970s. Local crews and visiting filmmakers can now review the car directly on the Rent Vintage Car site while coordinating through the broader USA Movie Cars system.

Spotlight on this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am

This 1978 Pontiac Trans Am stands out with its Mayan Red exterior and matching red interior. It features T-tops, a Pontiac 400 engine paired with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission, and a GM 23-channel citizens band radio. The two-door coupe body style and original-owner status make it a straightforward choice for productions that need authentic late-1970s details without modern alterations.

The car’s visual elements, from the red paint to the functional T-tops, support shots that require clear period texture. Producers filming in Satellite Beach, Florida, or nearby areas can examine how the vehicle sits in establishing shots or background traffic sequences. Its automatic transmission and gasoline powertrain also simplify on-set movement when crews need the car to drive short distances during a take.

Rent Vintage Car and the Florida Picture Car Market

Rent Vintage Car works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles listed across the country. In Florida, this partnership helps crews locate local options quickly instead of arranging long-distance transport. USA Movie Cars coordinates with state picture-car sites such as Florida Picture Cars so that searches for Florida picture car rental or Florida film car listings surface relevant vehicles in one place.

Satellite Beach, Florida, sits in a region that sees steady commercial, music video, and independent film work. Having this Trans Am listed locally reduces logistics for productions that want a 1970s-era vehicle without leaving the state. The network approach lets location managers check availability across multiple Florida movie car sources while keeping rental arrangements centralized.

History of the 1978 Pontiac Trans Am

The 1978 Pontiac Trans Am belongs to the second-generation Firebird line that ran through the late 1970s. During this period, the model carried a distinctive front-end design and performance-oriented trim that appealed to buyers looking for a sporty coupe. The Trans Am package included specific badging, hood graphics, and suspension upgrades that set it apart from standard Firebirds on the road.

T-tops became a popular option on these cars, allowing open-air driving while retaining the structural roof. The Pontiac 400 engine and Turbo 350 transmission combination was common in that model year, reflecting the powertrain choices available before stricter emissions rules took further effect. A GM citizens band radio was a period accessory that matched the era’s communication habits. These elements together give the vehicle a consistent 1970s identity that productions can use to anchor time-specific scenes.

Florida Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews can place this Trans Am in scenes that require a 1970s street presence. It works as a character vehicle in period dramas, a background car in establishing shots of suburban or coastal Florida settings, or a prop in commercials that reference classic American muscle cars. Still photography and music video shoots can use the red paint and T-top configuration for static or slow-motion sequences.

Event planners and branded content creators in Florida also book similar vehicles for themed gatherings or promotional activations. The coupe’s two-door layout and automatic transmission make it practical for repeated starts and stops during long shoot days. Productions that need Florida movie car options for multiple days can keep the vehicle on site rather than cycling through different rentals.
