1987 Dodge Ramcharger Rental Added in Nevada

Rent Vintage Car has added this 1987 Dodge Ramcharger to its Nevada picture car rental offerings through the USA Movie Cars network. The vehicle sits in Henderson, Nevada, and gives crews working in the Las Vegas area a period-correct SUV option for 1980s scenes. Producers searching for Nevada film cars now have another local choice when they need a lowered truck-based utility vehicle with custom touches.

Spotlight on this 1987 Dodge Ramcharger

This Dodge has a grey exterior and black interior. It rides on 20-inch wheels and carries a lowered stance that changes its profile compared with stock examples from the same decade. The listing notes a 5.7 Hemi engine paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and a custom interior, details that help it stand out when a production needs a modified 1980s sport utility vehicle.

Crews filming in Nevada can use the Ramcharger’s appearance to add texture to street scenes or driveway shots without relying on newer vehicles. The body style remains a full-size sport utility, so it reads clearly as a late-1980s passenger vehicle in wide establishing shots or tighter inserts that show the wheels and stance.

Rent Vintage Car and the Nevada Picture Car Market

Rent Vintage Car works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles listed across multiple state sites. USA Movie Cars partners with state picture-car sites such as Nevada Picture Cars so crews can search locally instead of starting from a national pool every time. This approach keeps travel distance short for productions based in Henderson, Nevada, or the greater Las Vegas NV metro area.

Local coordinators benefit when a vehicle like this Ramcharger is already positioned in Nevada. They can check availability for a single day or a longer shoot without arranging cross-country transport. The network structure also lets location managers compare options quickly when scripts call for 1980s SUVs in background or principal roles.

History of the 1987 Dodge Ramcharger

Dodge introduced the Ramcharger as a two-door sport utility vehicle built on a truck chassis. By 1987 the model had settled into its later form, offering a full-size body and available powertrain upgrades that appealed to buyers who wanted more capability than a standard station wagon. The year falls squarely in the 1980s era, a period when these vehicles appeared on roads and in media reflecting suburban and rural American life.

The Ramcharger’s truck-derived platform gave it a distinct silhouette that later became useful for period productions. Its size and proportions differ from compact SUVs that arrived later, so it supplies visual contrast when a scene needs to establish the 1980s setting through background vehicles. General production research often references these models for their era-specific details such as body lines and wheel styles.

Nevada Picture Car Rental Uses

Producers can use this Dodge for scenes set in the late 1980s or early 1990s. It works for character vehicles, background traffic, or parked establishing shots that help anchor a neighborhood or commercial location. The lowered stance and larger wheels give it a customized look that can fit stories involving modified personal vehicles from that time.

Music video and commercial shoots in Nevada also gain from having a period SUV on hand. Still photography sessions can place the Ramcharger in desert or urban backdrops common around Henderson, Nevada. Event and branded content productions sometimes need one or two vehicles that read as authentic to the decade without requiring extensive set dressing.
